Art Deco Desktop Weather Forecaster Barometer Calendar
This is for a beautiful old art deco desktop wetaher station and calendar. It has fabulous styling and would look stunning in any deco setting.
It seems to consist of a thermometer on the very top, a weather forecaster underneath and a calendar to the side. I am not really sure how it works but it does, and it seems to be about right, there is a chrome band with a scale on it that can be moved round to adjust it in some way, what it is for, i dont know. There is a little logo on the front that gives either the maker or modle as 'unigraph'.
The calendar is the usual desktop type with movable cards and all the cards are there. As i say both dials are moving. The thermometer is pretty accurate i would say, i am not entirely sure how to read the forecaster, but it seems to be roughly what the weather is doing, i really dont know, but i am sure a device like this would have some sort of calibration inside if you knew what you were doing. What it is mainly, is a fabulous piece of art deco deskware.
It is very solid and well made item, it weighs naerly one and a half kilograms. There is no damage to it anywhere and both the paint and the chrome are in very good shape, i would say its as good as you are likely to find. It measures 264mm x 144mm and stands 133mm tall.
