Vintage Lloyds Hygrodeik Relativehumidity PsychrometerDescriptionwhat you are bidding on is a lloyd's hygrodeik sicentific psychrometer. This instrument was used in the early 1900's to determine the relative humidity and dew point of the atmosphere. It is made of mostly metal, probably mostly brass. It consists fo 2 mercury thermometers, one dry bulb and one wet bulb.
Both work and seem to eb accurate. The directions to use the instrument are written up on the back. The instrument is in great condition considering it's age. (look at photograph) on the face of the instrument are the following markings lloyd's hygrodeik/ lycos / made in usa. / relative humidity/ 10 throuhg 100 degrees.
/ wet bulb / 20 through 120 degrees / dry bulb/ 20 through 120 degrees. Label on lower base taylor instrument companies, tycos, rochester the directions on back include fro reading the hygrodeik, / to find dew point and absolute amount in grains, / electrostatic stress.
